Carol H. Rasco
Carol Hampton Rasco, president and CEO of Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), has taught sixth grade, served as a counselor for elementary and middle school students, and worked in the Arkansas Governor's Office as the director of policy while serving as the liaison to the National Governors' Association. In the Clinton White House she served as the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and directed the America Reads Challenge under Education Secretary Richard W. Riley. After working for the College Board in government relations, Rasco assumed her current position at RIF in November 2001.
